According to reports, the film saw a good fifteen per cent jump on a Saturday as it raked in Rs 23.75 crore. From the numbers, it is evident that 'Simmba' has minted almost Rs 3 crores extra on its second day. The increase in the collections is of course due to a weekend, which naturally brings more footfalls in cinema halls. However, this also means that with a Sunday and New Year's day to look forward to, the Ranveer Singh starrer will enjoy an extended weekend which will only increase the collections.

At the moment the film's total stands at Rs 44.25 crore or Rs 44 crore approx. At this super fast rate, 'Simmba' can easily cross Rs 100 crore within the first week. Overall, the film has done as well if not better than what the makers had expected. As for the critical reception, the movie was well received in general from the masses and the critics alike. Since it was a masala entertainer from the get-go, there were no unpleasant surprises and the audiences got exactly what was worth their buck.
