Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor, who seems elated on the big win of 'Bohemian Rhapsody', has expressed her joy over the film's victory. She took to her Twitter handle to share how she has always been a 'Queen' fan and opened up about how this film has made her fall in love with the band even more.
"I've always been a huge Queen fan and I fell in love with the band even more after watching the incredible Bohemian Rhapsody. Congratulations to the entire team on their Golden Globe win. #GoldeasianGlobes," she tweeted.
The diversity at this year's Golden Globe awards has taken over the entire social media from Sandra Oh becoming the first Asian actor to bag multiple Golden Globes to 'Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse' winning an award after a long gap. There are quite a few things that the users on social media are raving about.
The film's title 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is inspired by the song of the same name, written by late singer-songwriter Freddie Mercury in 1975. The 2018 film is a biopic based on the life of the British rock band 'Queen' that followed Mercury's life from his joining the band in 1970, to their Live Aid performance at Wembley Stadium in 1985.
It stars Rami Malek who essayed the role of Mercury alongside Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy and Aidan Gillen in key roles. It was hands down, a big night for the team of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' at the Golden Globes. Malek won an award for Best Performance by an actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) while the film won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Drama.
