Sonam Kapoor reveals dad Anil Kapoor doesn't share her number for work

Nepotism in Bollywood is a never-ending topic. In an interview with a leading entertainment channel, Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman shared their perspectives on nepotism in the Bollywood industry. They urged the audience to understand the meaning of nepotism before speaking about it. The two talked about how the world sees it negatively.
Sonam Kapoor’s view on nepotism
During the promotions for her movie The Zoya Factor, Sonam Kapoor was asked if coming from a family with a film background was an advantage. She said that she did consider it a privilege and also a responsibility. She shared that people misunderstand the real meaning of the word nepotism. According to her, nepotism is more than that. She added that if someone is wise enough, he/she should check for the meaning of the word in a dictionary.
As she went on to provide her views on the on-going debate on nepotism, she made a very interesting revelation about none other than her beloved father and Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor. Sonam talked about how her father does not offer anyone her number even when there are opportunities on the work front. She further continued to thank her family and shared that she is grateful for the hard work their fathers have done to provide them with everything they have wished for. She expressed that if she does not take forward her father's legacy, it would feel like she was disrespecting him.
Dulquer Salman’s perspective on nepotism
Along with Sonam Kapoor, Dulquer Salman also shared his views on the same topic. The son of South Indian superstar Mammootty agreed with what Sonam spoke. He said that nepotism is not negative and has to be taken in a positive light. His film The Zoya Factor is helmed by Abhishek Sharma. It hit the screens recently, on September 20, 2019.
