'Gunjan Saxena' actress Janhvi Kapoor took the throwback road today as she shared an adorable picture of her mother and actress Sridevi planting a kiss on Boney Kapoor's cheek. On her Instagram story, Sridevi can be seen kissing her husband and director Boney with all the love, while Boney is all smiles for the cameras. Janhvi Kapoor will essay the lead role in an upcoming venture titled 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' which is based on the life of IAF officer Gunjan Saxena, who is one of the first female pilots to fly in combat. She played an important role in rescuing injured soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999 and was awarded the gallantry Shaurya Vir Award for displaying courage during the war. This is going to be the first time Janhvi Kapoor will be portraying a real-life person following her debut in 'Dhadak'. Directed by Sharan Sharma, 'The Kargil Girl' also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Angad Bedi and Manav Vij in pivotal roles. The upcoming biopic is jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and is set to hit theatres on March 13, 2020.
SRIDEVI AT MADAME TUSSAUDS
Madame Tussauds, Singapore dedicated the stunning wax figure as a tribute on her 56th birth anniversary on August 13. Sridevi born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan in 1963, featured in over 150 films. Few of her iconic roles in Hindi movies include 'Chandni', 'Lamhe', 'Mr India', 'Chaalbaaz', 'Nagina', 'Sadma', and 'English Vinglish' among many more. Sridevi, a Padma Shri awardee's last film was 'Mom' and she was honoured with Best Actress National Award for the same.
