Amid the success of the movie, Sunny Deol opened up about the sequel to Apne in a press conference for Gadar 2. The movie was announced sometime back with the Deols set to reunite onscreen, but there has been no update on the film for some time now.

Sunny Deol reveals exciting details about Apne 2

While interacting with the media during Gadar 2 press conference, Sunny Deol talked about the sequel to his sports drama Apne (2007). He revealed that he has prepared the story for Apne 2 and will start working on it when the time is right. The Gadar actor added that the storyline of Apne is very sweet with a focus on family values "which in itself is an extension of the same thing."

Sunny continued by saying, "Now I think I had a couple of actresses who were scared to play the role of a mother onscreen, maybe they will do it now." The actor also discussed the sequel to his other films, Yamla Pagla Deewana. He said that fans have been waiting to watch these movies as his whole family came together on screen to entertain the audience. Sunny added, "Everyone's now waiting for the second part but for that, the story is very important. As of now, I don't have the right story for it."

Is Gadar 3 in the works?

During the press conference, filmmaker Anil Sharma was asked whether Gadar 3 will go on floors or not. Responding to the question, the director said asked the media to wait and keep their patience. He revealed that he has some thoughts in his mind about the plot line of the movie, but things will happen at their own pace.
