From being just another TV celebrity to being a superstar today, the journey of Sushant Singh Rajput has been no less than a roller coaster rides. He gained fame when he started working in the TV show Pavitra Rishta. After a short time, he made his way to Bollywood with Kai Po Che. According to Sushant Singh Rajput, his journey was not a struggle, but full of events that make him the person he is today.
From Pavitra Rishta to Chhichhore - an inspiring journey of the PK actor
A young boy from Patna, who was born and brought up in a family of lawyers and doctors, desired to become an Air Force pilot. His parents wanted him to be an engineer and hence he ended up in the Delhi College of Engineering. Sushant calls himself a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan. When he was young, he was fascinated by SRK’s character in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.
In spite of being the head boy of the school, Sushant Singh Rajput was reportedly an extreme introvert. He left Engineering in the third year and joined Shiamak Davar’s dance academy and moved to Mumbai. Taking a firm step, he joined Barry John Acting Studio. During his time in the studio, he also worked as a background dancer. Sushant Singh Rajput first gained fame when he signed the show Pavitra Rishta.
Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut with the blockbuster Kai Po Che. The next superhit that made him recognized as a superstar was M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. He was widely appreciated for his role as Mahendra Singh Dhoni. There was a series of superhits in Sushant’s career and then there was no looking back. He also appeared in movies like Raabta, Welcome to New York and Kedarnath.
In 2019, he won hearts with his performance in the movie Chhichhore. Sushant chose to work on Chhichhore as it made him remember his college days. The movie was a big hit and was widely loved by the netizens. Sushant Singh Rajput will be next seen in Drive and Chanda Mama Door Ke in 2019.
