Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput shared his views on the sexual misconduct allegations against director Mukesh Chhabra. The actor on Monday, November 12, said that he hopes the result of the investigations against Chhabra, the director of his upcoming film 'Kizie and Manny', will be 'right'. He also stated that the remaining portion of his film will be shot in December.

Chhabra, who was all set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming venture, was suspended from the film over sexual harassment allegations by multiple women. The production house, Fox Star Studios, has announced that the director will remain suspended until he is proven not guilty by the end of the ongoing inquiry into the allegations. When asked what is the update on the shooting of the film since the director is not on board currently, Sushant said that there's a schedule that's left, which is supposed to happen in Paris in December.

"We are not shooting right now because there's a schedule that's left, which is supposed to happen in Paris for a certain number of days in December. I am shooting for another film right now, so that's the reason." Sushant told PTI.

"Fox is a big and a reputed studio, it's doing its own investigation, there's another agency doing its investigation. I am sure whatever comes out of it is right and we will stick to it," he added.

In the wake of the Indian #MeToo movement names of several celebrities have come under the scanner for sexual misconduct and Chhabra is one of them. However, Chhabra had earlier denied the allegations stating they are 'unsubstantiated, wild, anonymous' in a letter posted on his Twitter handle.

In the letter he said, "It is very unfortunate that years of hard work and building is been muzzled with a series of unsubstantiated wild anonymous allegations. To put it into perspective, we have an ICC committee put into the place for years and we could have appreciated if the complaint received could have been forwarded to the said committee for probe and investigation."

"This is a clearly motivated piece and we deny any incident as alleged took place," it further read.

Chhabra who is known for his contribution as casting director in films like 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'Dangal', 'Rockstar', 'Shahid' and 'Kai Po Che!' among others, was working on 'Kizie and Manny' which starred Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi in the lead. It is based on author John Green's 2012 novel 'The Fault in Our Stars', which was also adapted as the 2014 Hollywood film of the same name.
