Tabu’s critically acclaimed work includes Drishyam, Haider, Andhadhun, Cheeni Kum and many more. Tabu has also been a part of a few international projects including a leading role in Mira Nair’s drama The Namesake and a supporting role in Ang Lee’s highly successful adventure film Life of Pi. Coolie No.1 is a Telugu romantic movie of the year 1991. The movie was helmed by K. Raghavendra Rao and bankrolled by D. Suresh Babu. The movie starred Tabu and Venkatesh Daggubati in lead roles. Coolie No. 1 was a massive success at the box office and was later dubbed in Hindi and Tamil with the same title.
Ninne Pelladatha
Ninne Pelladatha is a Telugu romantic-drama movie of the year 1996. The movie was directed by Krishna Vamsi and was produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni under his Annapurna Film banner. The movie featured Tabu and Nagarjuna Akkineni in lead roles. The success of the movie was such that it received National Film Award for the Best Feature Film in Telugu. Ninne Pelladatha was later dubbed in Kannada as Preethsod Thappa, in Tamil as Unnaiye Kalyanam Pannikiren and in Hindi as Jab Dil Kisi Pe Aata Hai.
Aavida Maa Aavide
Aavida Maa Aavide is a Telugu romantic-drama movie of the year 1998. The movie was helmed by E.V.V. Satyanarayana and bankrolled by M.R. Rammohan. The movie starred Tabu, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Hera Rajgopal in pivotal roles. The movie was later dubbed in Hindi with the title Biwi No.2 and in Tamil as Police Killadi.
Shock
Shock is a Telugu action-drama movie of the year 2006. The movie was helmed by Harish Shankar and produced by Ram Gopal Verma. The plot of the film revolves around a man who takes revenge from two corrupt encounter specialist officers and a criminal lawyer for framing him as a Maoist. The movie starred Ravi Teja, Jyotika and Tabu in primary roles. The film was remade in Kannada with the title Prince.
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is Tabu’s upcoming Telugu action-drama movie. The movie is helmed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced jointly by Allu Aravind and S.Radha Krishna under the banners Geeta Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations. The movie stars Tabu, Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in primary roles. The movie will release on January 12, 2020.
