Saand ki Aankh: Tapsee & Bhumi's film is now tax free in the capital

Saand Ki Aankh is already receiving lot of appreciation in the country. The film was recently made tax free in Delhi. It is based on the life of 'shooter dadis'

Saand Ki Aankh has received a lot of appreciation for its strong storyline and brilliant direction by Tushar Hiranandani. The film has created a lot of buzz as it has also got a festival release. It features Bhumi Padnekar and Tapsee Pannu in lead roles. The story revolves around the journey of two elderly woman sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar from Uttar Pradesh.

Saand ki Aankh declared tax-free in New Delhi

The film was already declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. It has now been declared tax-free in New Delhi too. Tapsee Pannu thanked the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on social media. She referred it as a 'much-needed encouragement'.

Bhumi Padnekar and Tapsee Pannu are receiving a lot of appreciation for the powerful performances by other celebrities and as well as their fans. The film is getting a good word of mouth by the audience. In an interview to a leading portal, Bhumi said that it is a commercial film with strong content and the recognition in film festivals followed by a theatrical release in Diwali makes a perfect balance for the makers. Saand ki Aankh also features Prakash Jha, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shaad Randhawa, and Nikhat Khan. The film is produced by Anurag Kashyap, Bhaumik Gondaliya and Nidhi Parmar. It clashed with Akshay Kumar’s comedy film Housefull 4 and Made In China at the box office.

Chandro Tomar and Prakshi Tomar are also known as ‘Shooter dadis’ who took up shooting at the age of 60s. They have also opened up at nationals and won several medals for their shooting skills and performances at various shooting competitions. Both of them have inspired a lot of girls and women in India to pursue their dreams. The duo is considered as a living inspiration in Uttar Pradesh. The two sisters-in-law belong to Johri village of Uttar-Pradesh.  They are also termed as the oldest women sharpshooters in the world and have made appearances at various national and international TV channels over the last few years.
