The Zoya Factor has created quite a buzz on the internet. Although the movie revolves around deep-seated social issues, the film deals with a light story. As per reports, the writing is not that sharp, and the characters except Zoya Solanki are not developed. Despite the fact that the opening and closing of the movie are both narrated by none other than Shah Rukh Khan, and there is a hilarious special appearance of Daddy Kapoor (Anil Kapoor), the film doesn't seem to be working out well at the box office (a collection of Rs. 65-75 lakhs reportedly). Netizens have shared their views on the movie, check out below -
About the film The Zoya Factor
Set around the 2011 Cricket World Cup, the film is based on the story of how a junior copywriter gets caught up with the Indian cricket team unwillingly, ending up becoming their lucky charm. She was born at the very moment when the Indian team won the Cricket World Cup in 1983 and due to which, it is believed that she brings luck to the Indian cricket team. Amidst this, there is a love story. The film is based on the novel by Anuja Chauhan of the same title.

The critics have given mixed reviews for the movie. Most critics found nothing fresh in the character played by Sonam Kapoor. The film has been rated 3 stars out 5 by prominent film critics. Even though the film hit the theatres with two other crucial releases, i.e. Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Prassthanam, it raked in Rs. 67 lakhs on its first day (according to Box Office India).
