'Thiru and Indira turn into Mr. & Mrs. Nambi Narayanan': Simran Bagga to star alongside R Madhavan in 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'

After 17 years actors, R Madhavan and Simran Bagga have collaborated yet again for their upcoming venture 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'. The film which is a biopic on scientist Nambi Narayanan will see Madhavan taking up the role of the legendary Indian scientist while Bagga will essay the role of his wife. 

The '3 Idiots' actor on Sunday, June 16, took to Instagram and made the announcement of the same. Sharing a collage of pictures with Bagga, he wrote, "15 years later. Previously, Madhavan and Bagga's crackling chemistry won the hearts of the viewers as they appeared in K Balachander's Tamil film Paarthale Paravasam (2001) and then in Mani Ratnam's 2002 film Kannathil Muthamittal. 

Talking about the upcoming venture, R Madhavan has solely taken over the directorial reins of his ambitious project after Ananth Mahadevan, who was co-directing the movie, called it quits.  A teaser of the upcoming venture was released by the makers, background narration of which said, "What if I say we could have achieved this twenty years ago only My name is Nambi Narayanan. I spent 35 years in rocketry and 50 days in prison. My nation paid the price of those 50 days and this story is about that. It’s not about me,"

For the uninitiated ones, Nambi Narayan was a senior official at ISRO who was charged with espionage in 1994. CBI dismissed the charges against him in 1996 and 1998 post which Supreme Court declared him not guilty. As biopics become the flavour of this season, Madhavan's act is one of the most awaited ones. 'Rocketry – The Nambi Effect' will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
