The Bollywood industry is one of the top industries to produce over a hundred films every year. From action-packed and romantic films to funny films filled with drama, this industry has one of the best entertaining actors and singers. Aside from War, here is a list of the best films of 2019 as per their box office standings.

Gully boy

A film directed by Zoya Akhtar was released in February this year. It is a film about a street rapper who goes on to become one of the best rappers in town. Starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh this film also made an entry to the Oscars.

Kabir Singh

This film was a remake of a Telegu film –Arjun Reddy. It was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and was released in June, this year. This film was appreciated and criticised by the audience but went on to do pretty well at the box office.

Uri

Starring Vicky Kaushal, Uri was directed by Aditya Dhar which was released in January this year. It is a movie that depicted the surgical strike that India had done on the Pakistani terrorist camps. This was one of the most loved movies by the audience. which made them feel patriotic.

Chhichhore

A recently released film, Chhinchhore was directed by Nitesh Tiwari. This movie was a low budget film that went on to become a super hit at the box office. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput, this film is about 6 friends who used to study together at an engineering college and get separated and lose contact after college. When they come back together to solve an issue, they get nostalgic and tell the story of their college days one by one.

Starring Ayushmann Khurana this film is directed by Anubhav Sinha. This film tells the story of a city-based police officer who is transferred to a village and he works to eliminate the caste system in that village.
