Varun Dhawan: Here's what the Kalank actor's childhood was like

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is reportedly one of the highest-paid celebrities of the country. Born to renowned director David Dhawan, the star kid kick-started his acting career with Karan Johar’s Student of The Year in 2012. This teen drama also starred debutantes Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. He has proved his mettle by acting in a varied range of films.

Childhood 

According to sources, it is known that Varun's nickname is Pappu. He was naughty as a kid and gave his parents a hard time. He was born on April 24, 1987, to David Dhawan and mother Karuna Dhawan. His elder sibling Rohit Dhawan is a film director, whose directorial debut is Desi Boyz starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. The Main Tera Hero actor completed his HSC education from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics and earned a Business Management degree from the Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom.

Acting Career

Before starting his acting career, Varun worked as an assistant director for Karan Johar’s 2010 drama starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, My Name Is Khan. He was launched with Karan Johar’s Student of The Year and never looked back. According to the reports, his first eleven movies were hit at the box office, establishing him as one of the successful actors of Bollywood. The versatile actor worked in diverse projects including romantic comedies like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Main Tera Hero, action comedies such as Judwaa 2, Dilwale and Dishoom, hard-core dance films like ABCD 2, social drama such as Sui Dhaaga and played an aimless-obsessed man in October. Varun Dhawan also received appreciation for his role of Raghav in critically acclaimed crime thriller Badlapur. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, the film co-starring Yami Gautam and Nawazuddin Siddiqui was released in 2015. According to sources, Dhawan had to suffer a lot while portraying a rugged and aggressive man coping with the loss.

Relationship

Dhawan confirmed his relationship with his childhood sweetheart and a designer Natasha Dalal in a popular talk show. The actor does not shy away from posing with his girlfriend in front of the camera on various occasions. He also spilt the beans about his marriage. The Dilwale actor revealed that he plans to tie the knots with Natasha yet he is not competing with any other celebrity couple.
