Vicky Kaushal thanks audiences for making Gadar 2, OMG 2, RARKPK back-to-back hits
Vicky Kaushal spoke about the good run of Bollywood films at the box office. Earlier this year, he delivered a hit with Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
The last few months for Bollywood films have been incredibly rewarding. While Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani crossed Rs 150 crore at the box office, Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 is set to cross Rs 600 crore at the worldwide box office. OMG 2 has also emerged as a hit, despite a clash. Vicky Kaushal, who delivered a box office hit with Zara Hatke Zara Bachke earlier this year, commented on this good period at the box office.

Vicky Kaushal shows gratitude to Indian audiences
Vicky Kaushal was part of a recent event for his upcoming film The Great Indian Family. As per Pinkvilla, the actor spoke about how Bollywood films are being received well by Indian audiences. He said that witnessing the success of Gadar 2 is "incredible", and that he is glad to see "the audience celebrate cinema".

He further said that all the films that have been successful, such as Dream Girl 2, Gadar 2, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Satyaprem Ki Katha, OMG 2 and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke were different films. Vicky added, “Back-to-back films are doing well. Thank you to the audience for making us believe in the power of cinema again.”
Vicky Kaushal’s Sardar Udham wins 5 National Film Awards
Vicky Kaushal starrer Sardar Udham won five National Film Awards. Originally conceived with Irrfan Khan in mind, the role of Udham Singh underwent a poignant transformation when the acclaimed actor passed away on April 28, 2020. It was then passed on to Vicky Kaushal. In a social media post, Vicky shared the film's poster and congratulated the entire team on National Award wins. His caption read, "Congratulations team!!! Honoured and grateful to be a part of #SardarUdham … To Irrfan Sir!"
Vicky stars opposite Manushi Chhillar in The Great Indian Family, set to release on September 22.
