War Movie promotions behind the secret to its box office success?

The War between Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan hit off on October 2, 2019. The actors have had taken an unconventional road to promote the movie. Tiger and Hrithik started the promotions of the movie by making two teams- Team Tiger and Team Hrithik. They then took to their social media profiles and encouraged the audience to take sides. #TeamHrithik and #TeamTiger started trending on Twitter and Instagram as fans also promoted their teams.

The actors didn’t stop there. Both Tiger and Hrithik were spotted wearing hilarious t-shirts. While Hrithik teased Tiger and his movies, Tiger also pulled Hrithik’s legs. Here are the pictures of the two wearing these t-shirts.

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff also did War promotions on TV separately. When they were invited on The Kapil Sharma Show, Hrithik and co-actor Vaani Kapoor visited on the first day while Tiger came in after the two left. This also added fuel to the fire as the two built a foundation of how the movie would possibly be.

Box office collections of War movie

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the box office collection of War for the first day was Rs. 53 Crore. According to a news portal, the movie has got the highest opening day numbers of 2019. It also broke the record of the first-day collection by Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s 2018 movie Thugs of Hindustan.

This successful feat of the movie could be because of the quirky way the movie was promoted. The excitement to see Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan in a movie together might have enticed the audiences to go watch the movie. War is directed by Siddharth Anand and reportedly has action sequences which are never seen before in Bollywood.
