Popular filmmaker Rakesh Roshan talked about his son's latest movie, War. War features Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. The movie is doing well at the box office. The film has received mixed reviews from viewers as well as critics. Reportedly, the movie has made a business of whopping ₹307 crores worldwide in just 8 days. The film has become the second blockbuster of Hrithik Roshan in just four months, followed by Super 30.
Rakesh Roshan praises Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, both the lead actors from the movie War, have gathered everyone's attention. Rakesh Roshan appreciated his son Hrithik Roshan as well as Tiger Shroff. He also mentioned that both the actors have performed really well in the movie. Rakesh Roshan is also proud of the Indian film industry for making an action-thriller film that is as good as Hollywood films.
Produced by Yash Raj Films', the action-thriller War was one of the most anticipated films. It's not a surprise that War had the highest opening weekend of 2019. The film made around ₹158 crores in over five days. Rakesh Roshan, who was proud of his son, spoke more about the film. He said that he really liked the film and that Hrithik and Tiger both of them performed really well. He also appreciated the director of the film, Siddharth Anand and said that he has done a very good job. Rakesh Roshan added further, saying that War is a big film and has been mounted on a large scale. He also appealed to the audience to watch the film if they have not. He also mentioned that he is happy that Bollywood made a film in India which is at par with any Hollywood action film.
When Rakesh Roshan was asked about how important it is for a filmmaker to be religious or spiritual, he said that people do not become religious intentionally, it comes from our parents as they teach us how to follow to religion and offer prayers to God. Talking about his religious beliefs, he said that he feels connected to Durga Mata because his mother belonged to the Bengali community and he has been celebrating Durga Puja festival since childhood.
