Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and his family members arrived at the last Ganpati Visarjan at the iconic RK studios that recently went on sale. In a series of pictures and videos, that have been shared online, one can see Ranbir can be seen sporting the classic denim look, with a white t-shirt while Rishi Kapoor can be seen in a blue T-shirt and brown pants. As soon as the duo stepped out of the car, the shutterbugs could not stop clicking. Ranbir recently returned to Mumbai after shooting for 'Brahmastra'.
Have a look!
Rishi Kapoor's brothers Randhir and Rajiv Kapoor were also present at the occasion. The famous RK Studio was engulfed in the fire last year, at which point it was assumed that the Kapoor family would be rebuilding it. But that doesn't appear to be on the cards as all three brothers, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rajeev Kapoor, collaboratively decided to sell off the property with a 'very heavy heart'.At around 70-years-old, RK Studio was built by showman Raj Kapoor, and 'Aag' (1948) was the first movie made under the banner of RK Films. The studio has witnessed a lot of cult classics being shot by filmmakers like Manmohan Desai and Dev Anand who would hire the studio to shoot their films. It is said that in the era of the 40's and 50's, the electricity would be provided only in evenings since most films were shot during the evening. And the last movie of which Raj Kapoor was a part of the production was 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili' (1985) before the legendary filmmaker passed away in 1988 and the eldest son of the family Randhir Kapoor took over the charge of the studio. While Rajeev Kapoor directed 'Prem Granth' (1996) starring his brother Rishi Kapoor, the latter directed 'Aa Ab Laut Chalen' (1999) -- the last film under the RK banner.
