Television actor Shweta Tiwari has been in the news lately for opening up about her troubled marriage with Abhinav Kohli. She has finally come out clean on the topic and so has her daughter, Palak Tiwari. Her daughter recently even posted an open letter to talk about the same.
A recap about Shweta Tiwari
Shweta Tiwari first started her career with Kaahin Kissii Roz. But she gained wide recognition for her role in Ekta Kapoor’s family drama, Kasautii Zindagi Kay. She even participated in the fourth season of the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss. She has been a part of various hit television shows including Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo, etc.
On the personal front, Shweta Tiwari married actor Raja Chaudhary in 1998. Shweta filed for a divorce in 2007 after being together for almost nine years. She was reportedly at the receiving end of Raja's alcoholism. She has reportedly said that he used to beat her and misbehaved with her on the sets of her shows. She also has a daughter, Palak Tiwari, from her marriage with Raja.
Shweta Tiwari then met Abhinav Kohli on sets of Jaane Kya Baat Hui in 2009. The pair reportedly dated for a couple of years before tying the knot in 2013. She gave birth to their first baby boy, Reyansh Kohli, in 2016. Since 2017, various reports surfaced which suggested trouble in paradise.
Shweta Tiwari reportedly finally lodged a complaint of domestic violence against Abhinav Kohli in August 2019. In a recent statement issued by her daughter Palak Tiwari on social media, she revealed that Abhinav had also made inappropriate remarks about her on various occasions as well. She also said that her mother is one of the strongest people she knows and she will always stand up for her.

In addition to this, Shweta Tiwari revealed in a recent interview that she had been going through “severe pain” because of an “infection”. She said that she has permanently removed it out of her life now and is in a healthy space. She revealed that she is now very happy as well.
Shweta Tiwari is making a comeback on Indian television screens with Sony TV’s Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. She took a break during the birth of her son in 2016. She will be seen alongside Varun Badola and Anjali Tatrari.
