Adil Hussain joins the cast of 'Star Trek: Discovery', watch trailer

Indian actor Adil Hussain who is known for his remarkable performance in films like English Vinglish, Kabir Singh and Life of Pi, is gearing up for yet another international release. The actor has joined the star cast of upcoming American web series Star Trek:  Discovery.

The makers of the series released the trailer of the upcoming sci-fi drama on Twitter which featured Adil Hussain as a scientist who seems to be helping in the fight against evil forces. The one-minute-ten-second trailer also featured the lead cast- Doug Jones, Sonequa Martin-Green, Anthony Rapp, David Ajala, Wilson Cruz, and Michelle Yeoh. In the post, makers revealed that 'Star Trek: Discovery will take fans 930 years in the future'.

Star Trek: Discovery

Star Trek: Discovery begins roughly a decade before Captain Kirk's five-year mission, as portrayed in the original Star Trek from the 1960s, and a century before the events of Star Trek: Enterprise. As per media reports, the series follows the journey of the squad of the USS Discovery as they encounter new worlds and civilizations.  

Before sharing the first trailer of Star Trek: Discovery on social media, makers launched it at the New York Comic-Con on Saturday. The third season of Star Trek is slated to premiere next year.
