After 'Dunkirk', here's when Christopher Nolan's next film is all set to release
Ever since the release of the film in 2002, Christopher Nolan has delivered back to back hits which include 'The Prestige', 'The Dark Knight Trilogy', 'Inception' and 'Interstellar'. His latest release was his 2017 film 'Dunkirk'.
Writer-director Christoper Nolan's next film is all set to release on July 17, 2020. Recently, Warner Bros announced the date, stating that it will be releasing in IMAX. The collaboration between Nolan and Warner Bros goes way back to his feature film, 'Insomnia', which was a psychological thriller.
Ever since the release of the film in 2002, the writer-director has delivered back to back hits which include 'The Prestige', 'The Dark Knight Trilogy', 'Inception' and 'Interstellar'. His latest release was his 2017 film 'Dunkirk'.
The film was about the evacuation of hundreds and thousands of Allied soldiers from an area called Dunkirk in France during World War II, where the troop was surrounded by German soldiers and the hopes of release were next to none.
'Dunkirk' starred Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Barry Keoghan, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, and Tom Hardy
The film was critically acclaimed and scored 92%on Rotten tomatoes. The consensus read, “Dunkirk serves up the emotionally satisfying spectacle, delivered by a writer-director in full command of his craft and brought to life by a gifted ensemble cast that honours the fact-based story.”
Because of the film, Christopher Nolan also received his Best Director nomination at Oscars.
The film also received seven other nominations. It eventually won three awards — for Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Film Editing.
