Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to voice Angelina Jolie's Maleficent in Hindi

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie's much-anticipated venture 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' is all set for release this October. While fans can't wait for the fantasy drama to hit the theaters, makers have recently revealed that Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will lend her voice to the Angelina Jolie's character in the Hindi version of the upcoming venture. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and confirmed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has joined the Disney universe.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Angelina Jolie who starred in Maleficent fantasy adventure film 'Maleficent' will reprise her role as the villainous enchantress in the 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil'. Maleficent is a kind-hearted fairy, who is deceived by the love of her life, Stefan. Soon, she places a curse on his daughter, Aurora, in order to avenge her thirst for justice. Besides Angelina Jolie, the cast of 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' also includes Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville, who appeared in the first installment, as well as franchise newcomers Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Harris Dickinson, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' director Joachim Ronning is helming the project. The first installment of the series received mixed reviews but was a massive hit at the Box Office with a collection of over 758 million US Dollars when it released in 2014.

What's next for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was last seen in 'Fanny Khan' alongside Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor is all set to make a return with the Tamil movie Ponniyin Selvan. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the movie is currently in the pre-production phase. The movie will be seen hosting a cast comprising of Amitabh Bachchan, Vikram, Anushka Shetty, Nayanthara. Another movie that Aishwarya Rai will be starring in is Jasmine Story of a Leased Womb. The movie has only been announced until now. There are no details on the star cast and the crew of the same.

Apart from these,  Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is also reported to be cast along with her husband Abhishek Bachchan in upcoming venture Gulab Jamun,however, there is no official report about the same.
