Ben Affleck is a very well respected and admired actor in Hollywood. He was supposed to be working on a standalone Batman movie for the longest time with director Matt Reeves. However, he finally hung his cape and cowl as he will no longer play the caped crusader in the DC cinematic universe. As the filmmaker is looking for a younger actor to play the Dark Knight, this famous celebrity with an Indian connection volunteered.
In case you are wondering who, well it is none other than Nick Jonas! As incredulous as it sounds, the actor actually commented his name in an Instagram post that was debating on who should play the next Batman. Taking to the photo-sharing platform, he simply commented, "First name Nick. Last name Jonas."
Now, it is almost certain that he just commented it as a joke, but now one can't help but wonder if he's playing the Dark Knight, then Priyanka Chopra is the obvious choice for Catwoman. Well, some netizens felt so too as they pointed out this observation after Nick commented on the post. Other than the international singing sensation, a lot of names were dropped in the comments for playing the iconic superhero such as Tom Hardy, Armie Hammer and of course everyone's favourite Christian Bale, who is still considered one of the best in this role.
In the meantime, fans are heartbroken as Ben Affleck, who portrayed Batman in 'Justice League' and 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice', will not be returning to the franchise as the film demands a younger Bruce Wayne. The actor confirmed the news sharing a report suggesting the same on Twitter. In the post, he wrote, "Excited for #TheBatman in Summer 2021 and to see @MattReevesLA vision come to life."
