Barbie on OTT: When and where to watch Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling starrer in India

Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles, took the box office by storm with its pink-laden, feminist tale. Released along with Oppenheimer, which gave rise to the now-popular Barbenheimer trend, the movie became a box office success. The Greta Gerwig directorial is currently the highest-grossing film of 2023, with over $1.5 billion collection worldwide.

Barbie arrives on OTT in India

Starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, Barbie is now available for streaming in India. The film made its digital debut two and half months into its theatrical run. Barbie is available for rent on Prime Video now. 

The movie can be rented at â‚¹499 on the streaming platform. Regular Prime Video subscribers will also have to pay to rent Barbie.

Barbie storyline 

Barbie is a story about Barbies in the Barbieland, one of which is a stereotypical Barbie, played by Margot Robbie. When her so-called perfect days suddenly crumble down, she starts experiencing an existential crisis and starts to think of death. In order to comprehend more and learn her actual purpose in life, she journeys to the human world. Ken, played by Ryan Gosling, joins her on this journey. 

Barbie to get an IMAX release

Barbie fans have another reason to rejoice. September 22 onwards, the Margot Robbie starrer will release in premium format, IMAX. To add to the joy in the new theatrical experience, fans will get to see the post-credits footage as well. The release comes after the film has already made its OTT debut in the USA on platforms such as  Prime Video, Vudu, Apple TV and Google Play.
