Cats new trailer out: Judi Dench stuns alongside Ian McKellen, Idris, Swift, and Hudson

Cats starring Judi Dench, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Idris Elba, Ian McKellen and many other seasoned actors just got its second trailer. The Tom Hooper directed musical is an adaptation of Andre Lloyd Webber’s musical of the same name. Read on to know more about the Jellicle cats and details about this musical tale.

Cats new trailer dropped

The Cats movie which is an adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical of the same name just dropped its second full-length trailer. The film follows the same storyline, and songs from Webber’s musical are also part of the film. The new trailer of Cats gives a much more detailed appearance regarding all of its characters. The first trailer of Cats was more on the lines of giving a glimpse of the film’s story. The basic storyline of Cats is about the Jellicle cats finding the chosen one who either ascends to the Heaviside Layer or dies to be reincarnated.

The new trailer of Cats as mentioned earlier gives a detailed outline of its cast members as cats. Francesca Hayward plays the role of Victoria who shows the feline world through her perspective. Actor Judi Dench who plays the role of Old Deuteronomy decides who goes to the Heaviside Layer and who is reincarnated. Idris Elba as Macavity can be seen warning Victoria regarding the chosen one. James Corden brings his signature humour as Bustopher Jones to this star-studded blend in the film. Jason Derulo can be seen grooving to a song in the film alongside Victoria as his character Rum Tum Tugger. The first trailer of Cats did not allow a longer glimpse of Taylor Swift in the film. But the new trailer shows Taylor commanding all the Jellicle cats and dancing as Bombalurina.

Cats directed by Tom Hooper showcases the feline world through the character Victoria’s perspective. Actor and dancer Francesca Hayward is set to have a special song sung by Taylor Swift for this purpose.
