Disney dropped the official trailer of the movie, and the plot is something most of us are familiar with. Aladdin, played by Mena Massoud, is a young and lovable kleptomaniac and has the 'love at first sight' moment with Jasmine, played by Naomi Scott, daughter of the Sultan.
The scheming Jafar, played by Marwan Kenzari, tempts him with money so that he can woo the young lady and all he wants is the magic lamp. Aladdin finds the lamp, but not without the goofy Genie, played by Will Smith, appearing from it. Genie is ready to fulfil the wishes posed to him and is always up to some quirky one-liners and mischief up his sleeves. He makes Aladdin the Prince and what’s follows is what the film is all about.
The colourful visuals of the movie and of course, Will Smith, stand out in this one and seems set to be lapped by the masses when the movie hits the theatre on May 24.
