The series debuted back in 2014 and has reportedly been a fan favourite since its launch. Lucas Black's performance in the series was praised in all the seasons he featured in. Now it has been revealed that Lucas Black's character in NCIS: New Orleans will be taking a departure from the series.
Chris LaSalle's death in NCIS: New Orleans
Fans were reportedly shocked to see Chris LaSalle's death in the sixth episode of the newest season. LaSalle was murdered while attempting to take revenge for his brother's death. As per reports, this creative decision was taken by the makers of NCIS: New Orleans was actually Lucas Black's wish as he wanted to leave the series. A day after the episode was aired, Lucas took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt message for ardent fans of the series.
Why did Lucas Black leave the series?
While speaking to a news daily, Lucas had shared about his feelings regarding playing the character of Chris LaSalle. He stated that the show has been good to him over the years and exceeded his expectations. But though the show has evidently brought him both fame and love from fans, the job is not easy for Lucas Black. He shared that many priorities in his life got sacrificed due to the show and he wishes to focus on those priorities. Now it is being reported that Lucas left the role in NCIS: New Orleans to feature in the Fast & Furious franchise. Lucas was speculated to feature in the seventh, eighth, and ninth instalmenta in the franchise but hasn't made a debut in the high-octane action film franchise yet.
