The English actor, Emma Watson recently opened up about the challenges she faced while starting a career in acting at the age of just 9. The 29-year-old-actor was picked to play Hermione Granger in one of the greatest film franchises, Harry Potter. She revealed how she 'struggled' to cope up with fame at a very young age in a recent interview with an international fashion magazine. Watson said that she had to sit in therapy and 'feel guilty about it'. The British actor had to rethink her position as someone else might enjoy her life more than herself.

Watson felt guilty

Emma Watson also confessed that along with the struggles she also had to fight 'a lot with guilt'. Watson thought that she should have been able to enjoy her time being famous as a child star a little more than she was actually feeling. Watson further added that it was 'bizarre and otherworldly' about the challenges she was going through while being one of the most famous personalities in Hollywood. However, she later found peace amidst fame when she 'remembered her identity' after feeling 'disconnected' with the world. Furthermore, the actor also disclosed her anxiety issues while going out in public and how she often chooses to disguise herself in order to blend in with the crowd.

Watson is 'self-partnered'

The Harry Potter star prefers calling herself 'self-partnered' instead of single. While discussing the pressures of turning 30, the 29-year-old actor in an interview with an international fashion magazine, admitted facing societal pressure to marry and have a family. Watson, who will be turning 30 in April, opened up about how she felt so 'stressed and anxious' about her upcoming birthday and how she did not understand the 'fuss' surrounding the milestone. She also revealed that never believed in 'I’m happy single’ spiel' and it took her a long time to change her views.  Watson also said that women have long faced the pressure to look for a partner and start a family, while older single women are more likely to be seen as an 'object of pity'. On the other hand, men tend to be perceived as free, enjoying a bachelor's life.
