Gal Gadot launches production firm; to star in 'Irena Sendler'
Gal Gadot and her husband Jaron Varsano have launched their own production firm, Pilot Wave, and the actress will star in the company's first film Irena Sendler
Gal Gadot along with her husband Jaron Varsano have launched their own production firm, called Pilot Wave. The ‘Wonder Woman’ actress is ready to play the titular character of the production firm’s first film, 'Irena Sendler'. The film is based on legendary historical facts about the film’s main character, produced by both, Gal and Jaron, and the screenplay will be written by Justine Juel Gillmer.
Gadot to play Irena Sendler
Pilot Wave’s first picture revolves around Irena Sendler, a woman’s incredible resistance towards the Polish Nazi occupation and how she managed to save 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw ghettos with the help of the extraordinary network that she developed. The movie features dates back to the Second World War. According to reports, the film will portray the exact situations and the environment of that time.
Pilot Wave promotes perspective of unique people: Gadot
According to reports, Gadot and Varsano recently stated that as producers, they want to help bring stories that have inspired each one of them. They further added that Pilot Wave would create content that promotes the perspectives and experiences of unique people and produce impactful stories aimed at igniting the imagination.
Gadot also shared the news on Instagram writing, "Varsano and I have been working on this for quite some time and I just CAN'T wait to bring to life all the amazing stories we're working on with all of our wonderfully talented partners."
On the work front, the 34-year-old already has 'Wonder Woman 1984' in her docket which is set to come next summer. She will also star in Kenneth Branagh's 'Death on the Nile' and will next be seen with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds in 'Red Notice' for Netflix.
