Here's the first look of Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham from the 'Fast and Furious' spin-off franchise 'Hobbs And Shaw' 

The first look of the lead characters of the most anticipated 'Fast and Furious' franchise 'Hobbs And Shaw' released on Wednesday, October 3. Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson shared his first look along with his 'Furious 7' co-star Jason Statham from the sets of the spin-off venture. The monochrome picture shared by the 'Jumanji' star on his Instagram featured him and Statham, standing face to face. In the 'Fast and Furious' films, Johnson is featured as a  diplomatic security service agent, Luke Hobbs, and Statham takes up the role of the anti-hero, Deckard Shaw, who is an outlaw. The intense face-off shared by the actors in the picture has raised the expectation of the audience as they are waiting for an action-packed drama.

The wrestler turned actor, Johnson, took to Instagram to unveil the promising first look. In the post, he disclosed that it's been a week since they have started shooting for the upcoming venture. He further stated that the fans can expect something 'fresh, cool, fun and badass' from the film. He captioned the post as saying, "FIRST LOOK: HOBBS & SHAW. We either gonna get along or we gonna get it on. The upcoming action drama tells the story of one-time enemies Hobbs and Shaw, who have eventually developed a grudging respect for each other. Beside Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, the film also stars Idris Elba, who will portray the role of a villain and Vanessa Kirby will be featured as an MI5 agent who also happens to be Shaw's sister. While the upcoming flick is penned by long-time 'Furious' writer Chris Morgan, it will be helmed by 'Deadpool 2' director David Leitch. Produced by Neal H. Moritz and Hiram Garcia under the banner of Universal Pictures, 'Hobbs & Shaw' is scheduled to hit the theaters on August 2, 2019.
