House Arrest
Plot
This is the story of a man, Karan, who locks himself in a house. He insists he's happier home alone — away from the chaos of the world. Then one day, two women, a giant, and a small bubble-wrapped gangster barge into Karan's well-arranged life and house, unannounced. What ensues is utter chaos as Karan realises that try as he might, he can't keep the world out forever.
Cast
Ali Fazal
Ali Fazal who has made his name in Bollywood as well as in Hollywood will play the lead role of Karan. He does not leave his house for several months. He prefers to enjoy his own company rather than going out.
Jim Sarbh
Karan’s best friend JD, in the movie, is played by Jim Sarbh. He seems to be the only person to whom Karan talks. JD tries to set Karan up and make him come out of the house. He gives Karan’s number and house address to a journalist.
Shriya Pilgaonkar
Shriya Pilgaonkar will be seen as a journalist, Saira, the girl who JD sends over, as it seems. She takes a tour of the house and attempts to convince Karan to have lunch with her, outside the house. Karan refuses and says that you learn wonderful things when you are alone. Before this movie, the two were seen together in Mirzapur series.
Barkha Singh
Pinky, which is said to be a daughter of a gangster is played by Barkha Singh. She comes to Karan’s house with a suitcase and tells him to keep it blackmailing him. Later, he finds that there is a body in the suitcase.
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and Samit Basu it premieres on 15 November, only on Netflix.
