The stunning and the extraordinary periwinkle dress of Lady Gaga worn at the Golden Globes this year will soon be auctioned by the housekeeper who found the dress in a hotel room. The housekeeper claimed that he found the purple periwinkle dress of Lady Gaga at the hotel a day after the event.
Lady Gaga’s dress to be auctioned
According to international media, Lady Gaga deliberately left her Valentino haute couture gown at the Beverly Hilton after attending the Golden Globes ceremony held in the month of January. According to the auction house, the police and the hotel authorities spent several months searching for the dress which was finally discovered from a hotel employee. The records of the possession of the dress can be found on the website of LA-based Nate D. Sanders Auctions. There is listing on the website which displays the dress along with the "letter of authenticity” which explains possession of the dress. The name of the housekeeper is blurred by the auction house.
The missing dress gifted to the housekeeper
The International media has access to the letter where the housekeeper wrote that Lady Gaga "turned in the dress to lost and found", one day after the ceremony was over. The letter also read that the dress was kept on hold by the hotel until September and then was gifted to the housekeeper. The auctioneer explained that it's a two-piece dress, with a floor-length gown and a 10-foot-long train. The international media reported that the dress is in fine condition and ready to be auctioned.
The bidding opens at $8,000
The bidding will continue till Thursday and it opens at the $8,000. According to the auction house, the dress is expected to be sold at a much higher price. The police told the international media that the dress was reported to be missing and was under investigation until recently when they found it has been put up for auction. However, the police lack any criminal evidence. The matter is believed to be resolved with mutual consensus.
