Birds of Prey

The synopsis of Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) reportedly reads, 'Since the events of Suicide Squad, Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime, and Harley Quinn has left the Joker. When Cassandra Cain, a young girl, comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to help protect her.' Cathy Yan has directed the film from a script written by Christina Hodson. The film is produced by Sue Kroll under her Kroll & Co Entertainment banner along with Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless, and Margot Robbie.

DC Comics Birds of Prey is an international crimefighting team featuring heroines. Margot Robbie claimed that she wanted a girl gang to feature in the film, Birds of Prey as it has not been done previously. She strongly felt that a film with a girl gang in the action genre was not explored as much as it should have been. The film will see Margot Robbie's character doing some daredevil action scenes along with her girl gang. She further added that the fans and audience members would love to see a fearless girl gang battling it out with a crime boss.
