American singer, songwriter, and actress Miley Cyrus on Septemeber 26 shared an Instagram story in which she wrote that her mom Tish Cyrus called her a 'bratty millennial' for refusing to put her phone down and enjoy the vacation. She was posting her pictures on Instagram when her mother made the remark. Cyrus is spending time climbing mountains following her split with ex Kaitlynn Carter. Over the past few days, she shared family vacation photos from a trip to Zion National Park with her mom Tish and her older sister Brandi Cyrus.

When Miley's mom called her 'bratty millenial'

"My mom just called me 'disgusting'. There was a gorgeous sunset and I was inside on my phone 'serving content'. It's hard to get in trouble once you're an adult but she said I looked like a 'bratty millennial,' which I do, but is it bad if I like the pic and wanna post? Is that worst,'' Cyrus wrote in the story and tagged her mother.

Her family trip to Arizona

Cyrus, Tish, and Brandi posted a lot of pictures from their trip to Zion, a national park in Utah that's famous for its steep and vibrant red cliffs. Citing lyrics from her song "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" Miley captioned one of her shots as: "But if you look at me closely ... you can see it in my eyes .... this girl will always find .... her way." The Spears song is about the transitional phase in life which is befitting for Cyrus since her August split from Hemsworth marked the end of a 10-year on-and-off-again relationship. While Hemsworth said they split because of "irreconcilable differences", Miley said to the US media that their relationship is ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers. Sticking to this very theme of evolving, Cyrus captioned another picture with the lyrics from her song 'The Climb': "KEEP ON MOVIN’ KEEP CLIMBIN'."

Like any mother, Tish also speaks on Miley's strong spirit

After Hemsworth, Miley was reportedly dating Kaitlyn Carter and they split earlier this week. This marks Crus' second split in recent days. A source informed the US media that Cyrus "does not want a serious relationship." The singer has long-shared a close bond with both Brandi and Tish and even gave Tish a shoutout in her song, "Mother's Daughter" from her most recent EP, She Is Coming. Cyrus in her song sings that she's just her mother's daughter but Tish claims they're actually pretty different women. She said that Miley is a strong, amazing person that’s self-confident and really doesn't care what people think and she, on the other hand, is quite sensitive. The star's post-breakup outlook proves her mom's point.
