Robert Downey Jr likely to return as Iron Man in new Disney+ show?

The end of Avengers Endgame left the fans tearful as the beloved Tony Stark (Iron Man) played by Robert Downey Jr sacrificed his life to save the whole universe. Fans thought that this was the last time they would see Downey Jr in the MCU. This broke the hearts of many fans as the genius billionaire playboy philanthropist of the MCU would no longer be seen in future movies. But in a recent turn of events, it was revealed by Jeff Goldblum that Robert Downey Jr will be returning to reprise his role of Iron Man in the Disney+ show, Marvel's What If...?
Jeff Goldblum, in an interview with a leading entertainment portal, revealed this information. He also added that he also will be reprising his role as the Grandmaster from Sakaar. Jeff Goldblum was seen as Grandmaster in the movie Thor: Ragnarok. Grandmaster is a celestial and was the first person on Sakaar. He also added that Taika Waititi's Korg also will be returning to the series. He expressed that Taika Waititi has already recorded his lines for the series. Based on Goldblum's comments, the Tony Stark episode could be an alternate take on Thor: Ragnarok where Iron Man is sent to Sakaar instead of Thor. Many rumours suggest that Robert Downey Jr. may reprise his Tony Stark role in the upcoming Black Widow solo movie. However, there is no confirmation on the news till date.
What is Marvel’s What If…?
Marvel's What If...? is a Disney+ original animated TV series that will focus on what would happen if the events of the MCU were to happen differently. It will focus on various alternate universes where the MCU history has taken a different course. A few pictures leaked which were the highlights of the Disney at D23 comic-con. The pictures showed the different possible scenarios. One of those scenes is what if Peggy Carter is given the Super-Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers. Another picture showed a Zombie Captain America facing the Winter Solider. We also got a peek at a different Star-Lord. Here is a sneak peek at a few pictures and videos that have surfaced on the internet. However, there has been no official confirmation by Marvel Studios or Disney+ on how the series will look.
