Twilight star Robert Pattinson who is now all set to take up the role of iconic Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Batman movie says that he himself can't believe it.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson who is now all set to take up the role of iconic Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Batman movie says that he can't believe that he got the role. While fans are divided over him portraying the Caped Crusader, he said that he himself never thought it was a realistic prospect.
During a recent interview, Robert Pattinson reportedly said, "It's kind of insane, I was so far away from ever thinking it was a realistic prospect. I literally do not understand how I've got it, at all"
"It's much more fun when you're an underdog, there's no expectation of you." ANI further quoted him as saying.
Robert Pattinson won the hearts of the audience with his portrayal of vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight series. He has a huge fan following who is waiting for his return to the screen. Among the plenty of people who believed in Robert Pattinson's acting abilities, is his 'The Lighthouse' director Robert Eggers, who recently hailed him in great words.
"Even in the Twilight years I never said, 'Oh, he's just a pretty boy. I always thought there was something interesting about him. I could tell that he wanted to be a great actor. And in the past years, it's been very clear that he is," ANI quoted the filmmaker as saying.
The Batman movie
Filmmaker Matt Reeves, who was behind the last two films in the 'Planet of the Apes' franchise, is set to direct the trilogy of 'Batman' films starring Robert Pattinson in the lead. After Ben Affleck stepped down as the film's director in 2017, Reeves boarded the project. Affleck, who took on the role of Batman for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Justice League', will be replaced by Robert Pattinson this time. The iconic role is previously played by several other actors including Michael Keaton, George Clooney, and Christian Bale, among others. The first in the trilogy is expected to be released in June 2021.

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson will also feature in Christopher Nolan's upcoming film 'Tenet' which also stars Indian actress Dimple Kapadia. In fact, both the actor and the director were in India a couple of days back to shoot the film's schedule of. Talking about starring in Christopher Nolan's directorial, Robert Pattinson during a previous interview revealed that he locked himself in a room to read the script of the film.
He reportedly said, “I got locked in a room to read the script - I don’t have it myself, I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there’s just something about Chris Nolan’s stuff. He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it’s unreal.”
