Taylor Swift praises Selena Gomez for her success despite struggles

American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift in an interview on Friday praised her long-time friend Selena Gomez and said that she feels proud of her achievements. In a chat show, the singer praised Selena's recent songs — Lose You to Love Me and Look At Her Now and her constant efforts to rise from what she has been through. She said that after processing her "great life experience" and the "really tough things" that she had endured, Selena can make art that is going to help people.

Taylor is reported to have helped Selena deal with her breakup with Justin Bieber.

"I'm so proud of her. She's been through so much. I've watched so much happen in her life. She is such a revelation because now she's making her best stuff," Taylor had said during the chat show.

"I'm really excited because when somebody has had great life experience, has had really tough things they've had to go through and they can process that and make art that's going to help other people, that's what kind of song this is," Taylor added.

Taylor never stopped loving me: Selena

Speaking about her friendship with Taylor and the support she received from her, Selena who joined the interview said that she had been an amazing friend. Her frustration and sadness would leave Taylor exasperated and dejected. Thanking Taylor for standing by her side, Selena said that Taylor had seen her in so much pain but she never stopped loving her. Selena mentioned that even Taylor's parents love her.  

"They never stopped loving me. And I played her the song, and I played it with her mom and dad and I showed her the video and her mom and Taylor started crying," Selena said in the interview. "After seeing all of that, this is such a cool moment.' And that's a huge thing for me", she concluded.
