What did Gal Gadot say?
Prior to the SAG-Aftra strike, Gadot was promoting her upcoming Netflix action film Heart of Stone. In an interview with ComicBook.com, the actress hinted that she had spoken with the new DC executives Gunn and Safran about working on a third Wonder Woman film. “I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together,” said Gadot.

The original Wonder Woman movie received a tonne of accolades from critics and viewers alike and, at the time, had a record-breaking $822.8 million in box office revenue. The sequel had a more decisively unfavourable reception. Its release was timed to the beginning of the COVID-19, which unquestionably presented substantial difficulties. Despite this, considering the popularity of the original, the film's critical and commercial reaction was not as positive as that of its predecessor.
Prequel of Wonder Woman 3 in works
Aside from Wonder Woman 3, DC Studios is also working on its prequel series dubbed Paradise Lost. It is based on Themyscira, a fictional city in DC Comics, and will take place before Diana's birth. The series "involves all of the darkness, drama, and political intrigue behind this society of only women." The release of Paradise Lost will occur in the first DCU chapter, Gods and Monsters.
