Saand Ki Aankh: Taapsee & Bhumi portray world's oldest sharpshooters

The official trailer of Saand Ki Aankh was released on YouTube by the official movie makers, Reliance Entertainment. The movie stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the role of world's oldest sharpshooters, Chandro aged 86 and Prakashi Tomar aged 82. The movie is a tribute to Chandro and Prakashi on their winning of 352 medals each in the course of their veteran professional life as a shooter. The story of Saand Ki Aankh revolves around both the shooter’s life, their journey which started with encouraging their daughters for a bright future but instead ends up with them discovering their skill of being exceptional shooters.
Trailer Review:
The movie is set to be released during this Diwali 2019. The trailer release got massive feedback from the audiences and become the second most trending video on YouTube. It received 14 million views just in two days of its release. The trailer showed both the young actors in an old-aged ladies’ appearance. It started with Bhumi’s character, Chandro interrupting an ongoing shooting training session and hitting the bullseye, showing it as a casual shot. Impressed coach, played by Viineet Kumar Singh, trains both the characters for local tournaments. These actions lead to multiple patriarch objections and results in the several issues faced by the sisters. However, Chandro and Prakashi continue to fight their battle of rights for the women in the village.
Taapsee reposted the trailer through her official Twitter handle, captioning it as a dedication post for all mothers. Also, Bhumi shared the trailer on her official Twitter handle. The movie also a directional debut of the scriptwriter, Tushar Hiranandani. Apart from Taapsee and Bhumi, Saand Ki Aankh also features director Prakash Jha and Mukkabaaz actor Viineet Singh in pivotal roles. Originally the film was titled Womaniya, but due to a title rights dispute, it was renamed to Saand Ki Aankh.
