South Korean boy band BTS recently opened up about their group’s hiatus and their plan to perform in Saudi Arabia. In a recent interview with a global media publication, the band members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, informed about the band’s next move following their extended period of rest and relaxation.
Having fun Togeather
The Korean boy band addressed the worries regarding the band’s hiatus, which sent fans into a frenzy, even speculating a break-up. Suga calmed the news by informing that it wasn’t a big deal and that it's just vacationing.
The five-week hiatus came to a halt on September 16 and group member Jimin expressed that the band is extremely happy to be continuing with their music and that none of the members are compelling each other to keep things going. He also added that everyone is having so much fun together singing and dancing because everyone wants to continue working collectively.
Adding to the sentiments, Suga also said that as long as their bodies hold up, they will be doing the same thing in 10 years. All eyes turned around when the group declared their decision to perform in Saudi Arabia. American Rapper Nicki Minaj pulled out of a concert in the country in July because of human rights issues, stating that she wanted to highlight her support for women's rights, gay rights and freedom of expression.
The official invitation
RM further added to the big news by informing that their decision wasn’t easy, but they have been officially invited, due to which they reconsidered the offer. He also added that it's been a long time since the band has performed in the Middle East, the last time they performed was back in 2015. He concluded by stating that if there's a place where people want to see them, they will go there and That's really how the entire band feels.
The singers also have a few more dreams they'd like to fulfill. For instance, when asked about their dream collaboration, the artists said that they will love to team up with Drake. The South Korean boy band has been performing and releasing songs non-stop since their debut in 2013. In the last six years, they have played and released six full-length albums and six EPs.
The news of BTS' break came nearly four months after they dropped their 'Map of the Soul: Persona' album, which featured collaborations with singers Halsey and Ed Sheeran.
