Coke Studio is a television show which features live studio-recorded music performances by various artists. It combines myriad musical influences, from various different musical genres. Throughout the years, Coke Studio has been making and performing covers and renditions of some classic songs. Here are some covers by Coke Studio that were better than the originals as per fan appreciation garnered.

Tajdar-E-Haram:

The song rendition featured in the eighth season of Coke Studio. Tajdar-E-Haram is one of the most loved songs from Coke Studio. The Sabri brothers composed and performed the original qawwali. The Coke Studio rendition of Tajdar-E-Haram was produced by the in-house band of Coke Studio and sung by Atif Aslam. The song featured in the first episode of the eighth season of Coke Studio.

Ranjish Hi Sahi:

Another much-loved remake of a famous Ghazal that featured in Coke StudioRanjish Hi Sahi is a classic ghazal composed and performed by Medhi Hasan. Ali Sethi sang the cover of Ranjish Hi Sahi. It is a renowned Ghazal and has been made into several renditions in Papon's MTV unplugged episode and Ali Sethi's version of Ranjish Hi Sahi from Coke Studio.

Afreen Afreen:

Afreen Afreen is one of the most famous songs by Maestro Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The song is a classic ghazal written by Javed Akhtar and sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Coke Studio featured this famous melody in the voices of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s nephew, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Momina Mustehsan. Afreen Afreen is one of the most heard and loved songs by Coke Studio till date.

Sayonee:

It is one of the best renditions of the rock song by the rock band Junoon (Azaadi). The Coke Studio rendition of Sayonee was performed live by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Noor, and Junoon. Though the song could not match the classic edition by Ali Azmat when he was a member of Junoon, it still managed to do wonders. It is one of the most loved rock renditions ever performed live in the Coke Studio.

Tu Mane Ya Na Mane Dildara:

The Wadali Brothers performed one of the first songs from Coke Studio @ MTV. Tu Mane Ya Na Mane Dildara initially released in the year 2004 by the Wadali Brothers. The Wadali Brothers performed the rendition of their classic melody in 2011 in the first season of Coke Studio. Tu Mane Ya Na Mane is one famous cover of a classic song by Coke Studio till date. Sufi music enthusiasts equally love both the versions of Tu Mane Ya Na Mane Dildara, the original and the Coke Studio @ MTV cover.
