WATCH | Euphoria’s melodious offering ‘Mujhse Kaha Naa Gaya’ around Valentine’s Day has a message for the singles
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, lovers around the world are excited and in midst of ensuring special plans for their boyfriends/ girlfriends or spouses. Veteran band Euphoria’s latest offering a few days before the day of love, ‘Mujhse Kaha Naa Gaya’ is not the ‘happy love’ one would associate during the period, but like the title suggests, conveys the importance of expressing one’s feelings.
In the video, we can see Palash crooning while playing the guitar and behind him, the life of the woman he loves, played by Yamini Rameshh, unfolds in a Bengali household in Kolkata. Visuals of her mother scolding her, the girl pulling up her brother, her bond with the grandfather and friends, as they celebrate a birthday, festivals like Holi and Durga Puja, play in the background.
However, matters take a turn when the house decks up for the girl’s wedding. She is seen as restless and impatient and the semi-real setting later turns into real one when Palash actually sings at her wedding, but it’s not him who is the groom. The line he repeats often in the song, ‘Mujhse Kaha Naa Gaya’ that he couldn’t express his feelings, turns out to be his own undoing as the bride even at her wedding looks at him with expectation.
Watch the song here:
The song has a happy feel to it despite the plot not having the ‘happily ever after’ ending even in the way it sounds and is a break from the usual ‘heartbreaking’ songs. The track is very much in the ‘Euphoria’ space as their fans across the world since years would relate with.
The multitalented Palash as always has sung and acted, and even co-written along with Deekshant Sahrawat and directed the video. But it’s always how Euphoria creates magic with their compositions as a team.
