8-year-old boy tops Forbes list of highest-earning YouTubers by making $22 Million in a year

What did you do when you were 8-year-old? We all have played with toys and watched Pokemon and Tom & Jerry when we were kids. However, there is an 8-year-old kid in the United States who is currently making approximately Â£17.3 million in a year by making YouTube videos.

According to the list released by Forbes recently, 8-year-old Ryan of Ryan ToysReview has beaten popular YouTubers including Jake and Logan Paul and Swedish gamer PewDiePie to become the highest paid YouTuber in the world.

On his channel Ryan ToysReview, Ryan opens toys, plays with them and then reviews them. Now, he has more than 17 million subscribers on YouTube. 

And not just Ryan, his family including parents and his younger twin sisters have also appeared in the videos on his channel quite a lot of times. Apart from reviewing toys, Ryan has also made videos on educational topics including astronauts and tornadoes.

His 'unboxing' videos have a total of almost 26 billion views over three years, with the most popular video on his channel seen 1.6 billion times, and the less-watched videos attracting at least 30 million views each.

As per reports, Ryan started making such videos when he was just 3-year-old. These videos now, makes money from advertising revenue. After this, he also recently launched his own Walmart line of branded merchandise.

However, his parents have not yet disclosed Ryan's last name or the city they live in the videos. They have also revealed that they will stop making the videos when their son Ryan will no longer enjoy making them. They have been saving his earnings in the bank for his higher studies and future needs. 

The Forbes list of the highest paid YouTube stars also includes several popular users who record themselves playing video games and giving their reviews on the same.

The most famous of these, PewDiePie, also known as Felix Kjellberg, earned $15.5m (£12.2m) in the year to June.
