FRIENDS: The most emotional moments from the popular sitcom of 90s

Friends is one of the most iconic shows from the 90s. Whether it was Chandler and Monica's ideal relationship, Ross and Rachel's chemistry, Joey's love for pizza or Phoebe's 'Smelly Cat' song; the show is still watched by many through various platforms. The iconic show has given us innumerable memories, out of which, we have listed down a few of them below.

Ross and Rachel's breakup

This has to be the most emotional moment in the Friends series. It was heart-breaking and people still get the chills. The scene felt so real that you can picturise the whole scenario every time you talk about it. It was intense and painful because Rachel broke up with Ross while she was still in love with him.

When Phoebe gave the triplets to her brother

Phoebe gave birth to her brother’s triplets via surrogacy. So, when the time came Phoebe was in an emotional hell while giving away the babies. Even though some of us can’t imagine how it feels like to actually do that, but the scene made us feel her dilemma. She said, “Everyone said labour is the hardest thing to do, but they were wrong, this is” before giving away the triplets to her brother for good.

When Chandler begged Erica to give her baby

This was the sweetest thing that the mature Chandler had ever done for her wife Monica. We felt a sense of pride as well as a glimpse of responsibility in Chandler and it hit straight from Chandler’s heart to ours.

When Monica confessed her love to Chandler

This proposal scene cannot be missed. It was funny as well as teary. Monica gave a surprise kneeling down and confessing her love for Chandler. This was then followed by Chandler confessing his love for her in the next scene and voila they were engaged!

The prom video

We saw the prom video that Ross’s father made. Ross’s afro hair and his innocent-looking face were hard to forget. In the video, Ross was getting ready to accompany Rachel to the prom when Chip didn’t arrive, but at the last moment, Rachel went off with Chip. Ross’s face suddenly turned blue and it was heartbreaking.

Rachel at Ross and Emily’s wedding

The moment Rachel arrived at Ross and Emily’s wedding, the moment was surreal. The scene was painful to watch as Rachel was still in love with Ross at that moment.

When Rachel got off the plane

It was the perfect ending to the Ross and Rachel plot. Rachel was off to Paris for her new job but then she suddenly decided to get off. As shocking it was to see Rachel move away from Ross forever, their fans silently hoped for them to end up together. Their prayers were answered and Rachel got off the plane.

Finally, the last scene

The last scene where everyone returned Monica’s house key was the one to remember. All the memories that took place in that house for ten years now came to an end with everyone moving forward in their respective lives; the scene was nostalgic.
