Months after the much-anticipated 'Game of Thrones' ended, seems like the popular show has found its way to the trending charts again, and it is because of South Indian actor Dhanush. Thinking why?
'Game of Thrones' actor joins Dhanush:
Well, director Karthik Subbaraj, who is making a film along with the 'Maari' actor has roped in James Cosmo, who played the role of Jeor Mormont in 'Game Of Thrones'. In the show, Cosmo's role was the 997th Lord Commander of the 'Night's Watch' and was often referred to as the "Old Bear". Making an official announcement of the same, Karthik Subbaraj on social media welcomed the actor on board and exclaimed that he was quite excited to work with him
About Dhanush's film:
The upcoming film marks Dhanush's collaboration with Karthik Subbaraj. Written by the 'Petta' director, the film also stars Aishwariya Lekshmi, and Joju George in pivotal roles. The untitlted film will have music from Santhosh Narayanan, while the cinematography will be handled by Shreyas Krishna
Game of Thrones:
Despite divided reviews, the show went on get a historic 32 Emmy nominations last week. "Thirty-two Emmy nominations is certainly nice validation," Bloys added. He further said the shooting of the "Game of Thrones" prequel is complete and it is currently in the editing stage.
Fans dissapointed with season finale:
Meanwhile, over a million angry and heartbroken "Game of Thrones" fans had signed an online petition demanding the show's finale be reshot and after more than two months since its end. However, HBO responded and said that the team did not take the petition to film the eighth season all over again "seriously". Showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss have been under fire for below-par scriptwriting and poor portrayal of women in the final season of the HBO series, based on author George RR Martin's book series "A Song of Ice and Fire".
The petition, which gained over a million signatures, read: "David Benioff and DB Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material to fall back on.
