Bowling champion Harbhajan Singh is gearing for a new inning. The Indian cricketer is preparing for his acting debut in the film industry, with Tamil movie Dikkiloona. The movie, starring actor Santhanam in the lead, is directed by Kartik Yogi. Harbhajan Singh posted the news of his debut on Twitter early this morning. Have a look at the post:

The sci-fi film, starring Santhanam and Harbhajan Singh, is produced by KJR Studios and Soldiers Factory. The makers of the film announced the project early this year and disclosed some interesting details about the title of the film. Interestingly, the name of the film is inspired by the comedy movie Gentlemen. Reportedly, Santhanam has started shooting for the film and the film is slated to release early next year. While the makers have refrained from divulging any details, the addition of Harbhajan Singh to the cast is surely going to amp the excitement.

Irfan Pathan and Vikram together in a film?

Other than Harbhajan Singh, cricketer Irfan Pathan is also expected to debut in Tamil Cinema. Pathan will feature in Chiyaan Vikram's next. The movie is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and is titled Vikram 58. It is produced by Lalith Kumar's Seven Screen Studio and will feature the cricketer in a prominent role. The makers of the movie posted a picture with the cricketer to announce the news.
