The 22-year-old Haryana youth who grabbed headlines after angrily drowning his new BMW car gifted to him by his parents as he had wanted a Jaguar has received global spotlight, thanks to comedian Trevor Noah. The Haryana man had pushed the new Rs 45-lakh BMW car into a river in Yamunanagar as he did not get ultra-luxury Jaguar. Now, Trevor Noah from The Daily Show has spoken about the incident on his program taking a hilarious angle on it.
In a clip from Noah's show uploaded on Twitter, it appears that the Haryana incident was covered in the international media as well. Trevor Noah, on the show, cites the incident using a clip from a news channel report. The US comedian poked fun at the Haryana youth, Akash, saying that he acted unlike most people who receive gifts they do not like or use, pretend to graciously accept them as common courtesy. Noah also suggests about how Akash's parents should have punished him. He also notes the changing times about the economic situation in both US and India and makes a clever commentary about it.

Netizens has already begun debating on the South-African born comedian's take on the issue. While some have spoken about how the Haryana incident represents Indian parenting, others contested this opinion saying parenting issues are more common in developed countries like the US.
Trevor Noah trolled by Indian netizens
The political satirist had a few months ago, portrayed the tension between India and Pakistan as 'the most entertaining war of all times' and further pounded it with stereotypical and racist jibes. Indians called him out for his insensitivity and tone-deaf comments. Noah soon apologised and explained himself on Twitter, saying that he uses 'comedy to process pain and discomfort'.
