'India is going to serve justice to the great martyrs': Yash, Mohanlal, Anushka Shetty, Mahesh Babu, Suriya, other South stars mourn death of CRPF soldiers in Pulwama attack
Stars from the South film industries reacted strongly to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama where 40 soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred. Almost all the major stars took to their social media handles to express their grief, shock and anger. Yash, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Anushka Shetty, Mahesh Babu, Suriya, tweeted about it.

Stars from the South film industries reacted strongly to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama where 40 soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred. Almost all the major stars took to their social media handles to express their grief, shock and anger while conveying their condolences and strength to the bereaved families and the speedy recovery of the injured jawans and others. They hoped the government eliminates the terrorists without any mercy.
The celebrities wrote about being ‘terribly saddened’ and disturbed while calling the incident ‘horrifying’, ‘heartbreaking’, ‘sad time for our country’ and a ‘very sad day’. Some tweeted about their angst and deep sorrow and how their 'hearts were bleeding' hearing about the attacks, which they termed as ‘cowardly’, ‘dastardly’ and a ‘disgusting cowardice act.’
The stars expressed their deepest condolences, prayers, strength to the bereaved families and added that their hearts went out to those who have lost a son, brother, husband or a father. They wrote about the need to stand with the families in the hard time. Some of them even shared details to make contributions to the martyrs' families. The actors also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured jawans and other officials.
The actors conveyed their fury, calling it a ‘shame on humanity’ and asserting that India is going to serve justice to the great martyrs and hoped government would reply strongly in going all out and eliminating the terrorists 'with no mercy.' Saying ‘Pakistani Terror’ must be stopped, they wrote it was ‘enough’. They expressed it was not the time to play the blame game, but the time for the government and the civil society to be united.
