NTR Jr's Father Nandamuri Harikrishna Passed Away in A Car Accident
Veteran actor and Telugu Desam Party leader Nandamuri Harikrishna passed away on Wednesday, August 29.
Veteran actor and Telugu Desam Party leader Nandamuri Harikrishna passed away on Wednesday, August 29. The actor was driving to Kavali in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh to attend a wedding of his fan when his car crashed into a road median at the Nalgonda highway. The actor suffered severe head injuries and was bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the Kamineni Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Nandamuri Harikrishna ventured into films at a very young age and was a part of films like Sri Krishnavataram and Talla Pellarama as a child artist. He has acted in several films like Tatamma Kala, Ram Raheem, Daana Veera Soora Karna, Sri Ramulayya, Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo, Siva Rama Raju, Seetayya, Tiger Harishchandra Prasad, Swamy, and Sravanamasam. The actor is known for his role in Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer Seetharama Raju.
Nandamuri Harikrishna is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. From his first wife, he had two sons, Janaki Ram and Kalyan Ram, and a daughter Suhasini. From his second wife, he had a son Taraka Ram who was later renamed by his father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) as Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr (NTR Jr). Both Kalyan Ram and NTR Jr are successful actors in the Telugu film fraternity.
Nandamuri Harikrishna is the son of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and founder of Telugu Desam Party, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Just like his father, he was inclined towards politics. N Harikrishna is also the brother-in-law of present Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. In the early 90s, when TDP was going through internal fluctuation, Harikrishna played a crucial road in getting the party back on track. He was also a Minister in Naidu's cabinet and later also served as a Member of Parliament.
