Samantha Akkineni gives epic reply to a fan who asked her when she is having a baby

The female actors of the film industry have often expressed their irritation at being asked the question on extending their family. Popular stars like Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in recent times have reacted strongly to the ‘pregnancy’ reports that surface, sometimes after their photographs of in some angles suggest so. The celebrities have often conveyed their unhappiness at the steroteypical norm that a married woman should have a baby soon after marriage. Samantha Akkineni too seemed fed up of being asked the same thing. The South star hit back at the question by jokingly revealing the exact date and time that she planned on to become a mother.

Samantha Akkineni recently initiated a Question & Answer session with her fans on Instagram, after her flight got delayed. She invited her fans to ask her questions, “Too happy... too soon... flight delayed... been a while ask?” One of her fans asked her, “When ur kid will come” (sic).  Instead of expressing her anger, Samantha quipped, “For all those who are really interested in the inner functionings of my body, I’m going to tell you. I’m going to have a baby on the 7th of August at  7 AM, in 2022.”

Samantha Akkineni had tied the knot with Naga Chaitanya in October 2017 after a courtship of a couple of years. She had earlier revealed that it had taken them eight years to come on the same page in their relationship. The duo is among the most popular real-life couples in the South film industry. They have worked together in movies like  Ye Maaya Chesave, Manam and Autonagar Surya. They featured in Majili earlier this year, where they had played spouses. 

Meanwhile, the Akkineni family, led by Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, recently made headlines for the Akkineni Nageswara Rao Awards held in memory of his father in Hyderabad recently. Nagarjuna, his actor-wife Amala Akkineni, and sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni were all present at the grand event. Samantha, however, was conspicuous by her absence. Sridevi and Rekha were honoured with the ANR Awards this year. Chiranjeevi was among the guests for the occasion.
