'Vada Chennai' Actress Andrea Jeremiah Says casting couch is Not just A Man's Fault
'Vada Chennai' actress Andrea Jeremiah said that the casting couch does exist, but if women start resisting men in power, the culture will soon end

Tamil film 'Vada Chennai', that released recently starring Dhanush has been garnering positive response from both critics and audience. The film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Ameer and Andrea Jeremiah.
In the wake of the #MeToo movement that has taken over the country, the 'Vada Chennai' actress Andrea Jeremiah also spoke about the movement. When asked about casting couch in the industry, by a web portal, she said that it happens in the industry, but she has not faced it.

Talking futher about the casting couch, she said that women should be able to say no to powerful men who abuse their power and ask for sexual favours. She said that the women who agree to compromise, are posing difficulty for those who say no to men.
The actress who was also part of 'Vishwaroopam 2' said that it depends on the vibe one gives off to people. Further talking about the matter, the actress said that, casting couch is not only a man's fault. The actress feels that casting couch will not exist if the women are not willing to sleep for work and believe in themselves.
Talking about herself, she had said that if someone were to meet her, they will know that she will only mean business. The actress said that she belongs to a non-filmy background and has worked her way up without getting involved in casting couch. She said that she has worked with several big directors and actors as she believes in hard work, talent, and blessings.
The actress made her acting debut in the year 2015 and has worked in several South Indian films since then. She has worked in films like 'Pachaikili Muthucharam' (Tamil), 'Aayirathul Oruvan' (Tamil), 'London Bridge' (Malayalam) and 'Gruham' (Telugu). Jeremiah began her career as a playback singer, before venturing into acting.
